The FAA’s Air Travel Organization handles over 45,000 flights every day. Having spare parts on hand is essential to ensure your aircraft can meet quality regulations and client needs, especially in prolonged and seasonal periods of heightened travel demand.
In this guide, we’ll take a look at how spare parts and aircraft repair services can help keep aircraft maintenance costs down. Keep reading for more.
Securing Aircraft Spare Parts
All aircraft parts need to be approved and certified by verified organizations such as the EASA or FAA, so any parts you get will be suitable. The challenge often comes with finding parts, however, and this is where EFTEC can be incredibly helpful.
When an aircraft component fails, it will likely be grounded until you can source a replacement part, so time is a critical factor in sourcing replacement parts. Working with EFTEC is one of the best ways to ensure you can always get the parts you need when you need them. We have offices in the USA, UK, and Europe, so our team is always on hand to help, wherever you are.
We can act as a purchasing agent to make sure you get what you need. They’ll be able to find replacement components and get them to you as fast as possible to keep your downtime to a minimum. This will allow you to keep operating so that you don’t start losing profits.
EFTEC can support you to ensure you always have the spare parts you need. Our professional procurement solution can support both commercial and private jet operators.
We can source spare aircraft parts for a wide variety of aircraft models and have the expertise to provide additional technical support for your team. Overall, we can help with tasks such as:

How This Benefits You
The key benefit here is that you can always find the spare parts you need backed by an experienced support team that will help you keep downtime to a minimum.
Due to our streamlined operations, we can typically obtain parts for less than many other service providers. This will lower your operating costs while still ensuring you get your parts in a timely and efficient manner.
We can help you maintain full compliance so that all of your aircraft are consistently suitable for operation.
Component Repairs
For many aircraft components, it’s often more cost-effective to repair them than it is to replace them.
At EFTEC, we’ve completed about 40 full aircraft teardown projects, and these have involved extensive repairs. We take parts as they are – some are ready to sell as is, while others need work.
All of our parts get a fresh tag after repair work and are then Serviceable (SV) or Overhauled (OH). Doing this allows us to provide quality parts at a lower price to our clients.
During the teardown process, we tag and re-certify all components. All parts are tagged after tear down as is required so that they can be reused. The savings for aircraft owners here can be quite substantial, and these parts will allow you to reduce your overall maintenance costs.
We currently repair more than 2,000 components a year and have developed a strong network of repair shops to ensure the repair process is carried out efficiently.
EFTEC stands out from other aircraft maintenance companies by offering repair services as a group service and independently. This makes our services far more accessible to different clients. We take care of the entire process which saves you both time and money while providing you with the best results.
MRO Services From EFTEC
While we operate as an aircraft spare parts supplier, we also offer extensive MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) services. We do this alongside our sister company Airline Support Baltic. They specialize in the maintenance of the Challenger 850, CRJ100/200, and Legacy 600, but can also handle MRO work on various other aircraft.
Some of the services we offer include base and line maintenance, interior modifications, and painting. All inspections take place as soon as the aircraft arrives. This allows us to determine what work is needed straight away to prevent any delays.
We have optimized our procedures to reduce turnaround time so you can stay operational. Our team of logistics executives and engineers oversee all maintenance work, and they work to keep our supply process efficient and streamlined.
As it stands, we have 3 large hangars with modern facilities that allow us to operate on multiple aircraft at once. With over 10 years of experience maintaining CRJ 100/200 Aircraft, we’re one of the best options available. All of our clients can get the timely expert services they’ve come to expect from the EFTEC brand.
Engine Shop
We’ve conducted more than 50 engine repairs and 20 APU repairs over the last five years. We’ve recently made our GE CF34-3 Engine Shop operational. As it stands, we can offer a full range of overhaul services for CF34-3 engines, and we have plans to expand in the future.
We have plenty of experience with engine and APU repairs through operation in other repair shops. As we can now offer this in-house, we can provide reduced lead times and lower costs.
